Meeting & Event Planning

Plan, Implement and Manage Effective Meetings and Meaningful Events

The Meeting and Event Planning Certificate program gives participants an overview of the many facets of the industry while exploring the details of successful event planning. Whether you aspire to lead corporate meetings or hang your own shingle as a special events planner…or something in between…you’ll come away from this program with tools and resources that set you up for success. Participants in this program vary from those just getting started to planners who have years of experience and want a refresher of some of the many aspects of event planning.

Meeting and Event Planning Certificate classes are taught by members of the Tennessee chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPITN), each with their own area of expertise.  This five-session program will provide you the skills you need to work more effectively and efficiently whether you are responsible for planning meetings or events in healthcare, non-profit, a governmental agency, public corporation, a privately held company or your own business venture.
