Leadership Essentials is for mid-level managers currently managing teams of associates and needing additional leadership development as their roles grow in negotiation, strategy, and leading change management within their organization.

PROGRAM FORMAT
The program consists of ten classes offered in five two-day sessions over a period of six months. Courses include 7 days of core curriculum, with 3 additional electives chosen by class participants.TARGET AUDIENCE
Target Audience is Managers with several years of supervisory experience, appropriate for building leadership competencies in core management teams.PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Core Curriculum
Building A Dynamic Team (1 Day)- Examine what makes dynamic, effective work groups
- Identify appropriate responses for resolving team problems
- Discuss best practices in presentation skills
- Learn to plan and deliver a dynamic and effective presentation
- Build trust with colleagues through learning to accept conflict as a positive, necessary element to growth
- Accept conflict as a positive, necessary element to growth
- Appreciate the need for commitment to team principles and organizational goals
- Understand the concepts of negotiation based on mutual interest and benefit
- Learn and practice a series of steps for working through a negotiation
- Determine five strengths themes as a result of taking the Strengthsfinder assessment
- Identify ways to work together as a team to optimize everyone's potential
